Tender

Tender
The Tortoise was built to get us from shore to our moored boat. That was a fun little boat to build and carried 2 adults and all the gear we needed for a day sail. It fit nicely in the back of a pickup and rowed great. You wouldn't believe how it could take the waves. We've forgiven the fisherman who asked if we were "going out in that thing" and then added, "the water is awful cold!"

Precious

Precious
15' West Wight Potter - a great story. We were standing on a hill overlooking Lake DeSmet North of Buffalo, WY and dreaming of how we could get on the water. Matt mentioned that he saw a sailboat in Kaycee, WY. We took a drive and sure enough, there was "Precious" covered in leaves amid branches and other debris. We left a note on the persons door and he called later that night. And so the journey started .

Destiny

Destiny
22' South Seas Eclipse. We weren't into garage sails to much, but since it was on our drive, we decided to stop. We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw "Destiny" in a pole barn. Although it wasn't for sale, we oohed and aahed with the owner and talked sailing until he decided that as much as he loved his boat, it really didn't fit into his moving plans and decided to sell it to us..the journey countinued

Drifter

Drifter
Heres our 13' Michalak IMB with a birdwatcher cabin. The first boat (besides the tender) that we built from scratch. We drifted from Yankton, SD to Sioux City, Iowa. What a great trip. We're headed in the right direction!
